The Travelers

We follow the starlight onward,

The twinkling reflected in our eyes.

We know not to where we travel,

Only where we have already been.

As the sun rises overhead,

We rest, watching the orange glow

Overthrow the darkness

For shades of pink, purple, blue, and red.

The trees form a green canopy

Protecting us from the cold grasp

Of the morning mist.

The sun is fully visible through the leaves above.

Onward.
