Traveler's Dream

She stares out across the sea

Wondering what things could be

What sights and sounds there are to know

To go out and see the world grow

She imagines all the people she could meet

And knows she need only follow her feet

All the friends she’ll come to know

Perhaps even she herself will grow

What a dream she thinks staring at the sky

But it will be sad when she has to say goodbye

For friends will always come and go

But they are friends you shall always know

I am an unpublished poet and have been writing for the past two years. I have many poems but am hesitant to share online but gladly share in person. I still write because of all those that have enjoyed reading my writing.
