Traveling Times (Moving On)

Champagne corks are popping, everyone's wishing you luck on your way.
You're leaving this life behind you, at least for a little while.
This set of people, these familiar sights and smells gone in a day.
Enjoying faces like a doomed man, savoring every last smile.

You might be feeling a little scared,
Nervous about inevitable change.
You don't feel totally prepared,
But you don't have to be estranged.

There's still letters and we got ink
So cast me a thought when you get time to spare.
Cherishing memories is easier then you think--
'Cause pictures are captured by love and words saved by air.

Expand your enterprises and throw yourself at the world
Raise up your fist and demand outrageous escapades.
The hidden wonders and secret miracles will be unfurled.
Your memories and mementos will carry you through decades.

Remember those you love, and forgive those you don't.
It's time to move on from old routines and tired clichés.
Leave now but say your farewells before it's too late.
Live life to the fullest! You'll be amazed.

But if you ever recall me for an instant,
I hope it gives you fond feelings and a tear in your eye,
That our memories saved by love weren't insignificant.
It's easy to say hello, but not always goodbye.

There's still letters and we got ink.
So cast me a thought when you get time to spare.
Cherishing memories is easier than you think--
'Cause pictures are captured by love, and words are saved by air.
