The Traveller

Don't wait for me I'm just passing through
Don't take the blame it's not for you and all in all I've nothing to do
I'm just a Rambler passing thru
A lonely man is what I am
bouncing town from town not knowing where to stay knowing I'm just passing through a travelling on is all I've got to do
I run from my past I run from my future all I can do is run no hope for the man lost and confused
Being lonely or fulfilled
the road is all I know I'm not meant to stay much to your dismay
You laugh when I say I'm not meant to stay I meant to be forgot
My broken heart longs for more but no matter what this traveler does i can't say what for
I bounce town to town bar to bar all I add is another scar
My heart sings for love knowing not what it is
all I can do is run I am a rambling man
The world is your oyster that's what they say some fight some die some prey I just know I'm not meant to stay
These dirt roads of Iowa leading nowhere that I know
I just know I'm a traveler going far from home
when the deed is done now I've had my fun the world will forget the lonesome traveler I have become
I am the traveler not growing old and knowing not what will unfold by the time my stories told
I'll be long gone and the song will be old
Sure that am that my song will be sung is sure as I am that next spring will be sprung
Don't wait for a man it's the worst thing to do
