Treacherous Time

Not once

but twice.

The same way

both times.

Only few know

but those that do

don't realize the full extent.

Gone for a week

to be with those like me.

I was supposed to have learned.

I thought I did

but look at me now.

I appear different

and I act different.

But it is still the same voice

inside my head

that leads me down the same path

every

single

time.

I wish I could go back.

Maybe then

will it finally stop.
