Tread YOUR Trail

People passing, pushing,

Trying to suceed,

All of us competing,

Against what we've never seen,

Need we really guess,

What happens in the 'morrow?

We tread the path of others,

Scared to leave the trail,

Think we gain in strength,

Really growing frail.

World everchanging,

Path shoots straight and true,

To leashes we are tethered,

Blindly we are led,

Day to day,

Till the moment we lie dead,

We step in footprints,

Treading what's been tread,

Path forming a valley,

From there a canyon stretching below,

In which rivers oof treachery flow,

Get your feet wet they say,

Is that an implication to follow a trail day after day?

Feet wet,

Heart heavy,

We tread the trail,

Why not blaze our own?

Abandon expectation,

Find what you are seeking,

Live instead of dreaming,

Abandon the trail the others tread,

Make your own instead.
