Treadmill

The pounding of my feet

Is the beat, is the beat

The squeaking of my shoe

Push through, push through

The sweating of my brow

Hurry now, hurry now

The aching of my calf

Almost half, almost half

The cresting of each hill

Faster still, faster still

The rounding of the bend

To the end, to the end

The crowning victory

Be the best that I can be

The pounding of my feet

Is the beat, is the beat

The squeaking of my shoe

Push through, push through

The sweating of my brow

Hurry now, hurry now

The aching of my calf

Almost half, almost half

The cresting of each hill

Faster still, faster still

The rounding of the bend

To the end, to the end

The crowning victory

Be the best that I can be
