Treasure
One man’s fault is another man’s treasure
One lonely heart is another man’s pleasure
He unlocked your heart which is quite an endeavor
But instead of a key he may have used a lever
Since no one wants to be alone
So you fall for what he’s shown
He’s a myth he’s a legend and your mind’s been blown
But he may go out and never come home
He doesn’t think and it drives you crazy
You ask about his plans and it’s all sort of hazy
He gives you a kiss but nothing sincere
And you think that’s okay because he calls you dear
He may go out and drink some beer
And when you talk to him it’s like he can’t hear
You keep quiet because you’re worried he’ll disappear
And you bear him because you have this fear
You’ll wake up one day and the sky is clear
There’s no single cloud in the atmosphere
But without a love at your side
You feel like a knife has been applied
You’ve been left before and you almost died
So you take his flaws and you set them aside
No man owns you so he thought he would
But he may have acted before he thought he should
He looked at you and where you stood
And he thought to himself that hey that looks good
He swooped in like a Robin Hood
And he called you his before you understood
He’s the king you’re his queen and sure that’s true
But while you may dream he’s got a hold on you
You can love all you want ‘til your lips turn blue
But he’s taking control and his powers grew
He has this image in his head of you naked
But you think it’s love as he stated
Before long he has you persuaded
This moment of his dreams he’s awaited
While you go along you feel degraded
But you think you’ve been mistaken
Because into your heart he’s invaded
Look at this love that you’ve created
And you can’t stop now because he’s elated
Sure he’s rough but life’s complicated
Plus with love you’re highly motivated
The next day you wake and to your dismay
His clothes are gone and he’s away
You feel your heart and it’s start of decay
He’s left your life in disarray
You wish you could go back to yesterday
Now you’re left with three options or maybe two
Take the power deep inside of you
And use it for your own breakthrough
You’re a prize you’re a princess you can’t be owned
And some day he’ll see just how much you’ve grown
You’ll be up on top yeah you’ll have flown
Now it’s his mind that will be blown
But you could always fear being alone
You miss the smell of his cologne
The chiseled look of his cheekbone
To another man’s feet you will be thrown
Because one man’s fault is another man’s treasure
One broken heart is another man’s pleasure
He unlocked you heart which is quite an endeavor
But keep in mind he may have used a lever
