45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. 46 When he found a pearl of great value, he went out and sold everything he had and bought it.

Attention … he did not have to save for it … he did not wait until his deathbed to purchase

2 Corinthians 9:8-9   New English Translation

8 And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work. 9 Just as it is written, “He has scattered widely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever.”

When men, who serve God, and then draw attention to themselves

They look at their accomplishments and give credit to the Lord

Everyone will see through it, if they search for rewards down here

Eternity will then wait for them as the Lord knocks at their door
