The Treasure of Poetry

Rapidly flowing,
Goes the thoughts,
Jumping onto the paper,
Somewhat distraught!

Sometimes they are happy views,
Others are fairly sad,
On occasion they are just plain abstract,
And now and then they are just mad!

Countless different forms,
From fixed verse, juxtapositions, and haiku's,
To epithets and metaphysical conceit,
So many from which to choose!

A story is what they tell,
Frequently holding grand emotion,
These words that fill the paper,
Are of vast commotion.

They tell of the author's feelings,
They are all so carefree.
What is this treasure?
Indeed, it is poetry!
