Treasured thoughts
When I lay alone in bed,
I can't help but miss your presence,
I can't get to sleep.
I lay there and feel the phantom of your body,
I feel the warmth you provide as you snuggle against my backside,
I feel your soft breathing with a hint of a snore in my ear.
your sent fills my nose and comforts me,
I slowly drift to sleep,
so content to be in your arms.
I roll over to nuzzle closer and the image fades,
I'm still alone and your still so far away,
A tear rolls down my cheek and I fall into a restless sleep.
