up in the tree
What is it that you see in me hanging in the tree?
When will you feel its enough; When the blood starts dripping? Pulse stops pulsing?
Will you be happy then? Please man, tell me when.
What is it about me that calls out the wolves?
A big target aback, can't keep 'way from these fools.
What is it about you that sets you apart?
You think you have to prove to me that you have a heart,
But you don't get it man, you don't have to try, its received as a gift, its a look in the eye.
I ask you again, what is it man, that sets you apart? Cuz by the look in your eye I don't see your heart, by the look in your eyes I see your despise, wickedness and lies,
No love and no mercy, no meekness, no suffering,
All I can say is that the angels out hovering, are Not like mine, the angels of the light,
But through your eyes, what I see is darkness,
darker than night, way to dark for me, damaging to the sight,
Forces me to take flight, so you see...
Why, just why, I'm up so high,
High up in this tree,
I'm waiting on you, waiting for you to fly,
To get the light back in your eyes,
Receive the gift, see the angles begin to lift,
The good angels come to rescue and reassure,
I'll tell you somethin man, the tree is the only cure
It'll only take seconds for you to be sure,
Sure about life, death, and the mysteries all around, you'll hear the holy trumpets sound,
Just seconds upon the tree, a man anew, forever you will be!
Come on man, get up here and see,
Take a trip with me, up here in the tree...
