Tree
I’m going to fall asleep
Way up in this tree,
Fearful to fall
Yet I sit so peacefully,
I watch the leaves fall
To the ground,
The wind around me
The only sound,
These clouds seem endlessly away
But I feel I am floating away, with them
I rest upon these rough hard limbs,
Yet so comfortable I am
Hearing sweet, soft hymns
I’m wishing you were here with me,
But I know these wishes can never be
This is why I sit so peacefully,
I know I am bound by this cool air around my beloved tree
