Tree

For those of you who think you know me I am just a resource.

Something to burn in the fireplace

to mix with another resource and written with.

To mash up and write on, I am the back drop of your life.

For those of you who know me I am your best friend and at times your only friend.

I am everywhere

Stuck to the bottom of your shoe

Stuffed in your backpack

I am your home that you wish to keep safe from fire but you burn me inside of me.

A bit redundant I think.

When you are young you climb me to get away from everyday life

You use my arms as swords and have daring swashbuckling fights.

And when you are old you watch me and wonder how I could possibly survive.

Survive I do it is what I am and will forever be
