Tree Of Life

The ground cannot contain me

Though my roots go deep

They break through the surface

Each year

I add more layers

To protect myself

To grow stronger

The ground cannot contain me

For I stretch towards the sky

And extend my limbs

To the shining sun

It feeds me and allows me

To continue to grow

The ground cannot contain me.
