Tree Trunk

In life I have noticed that I am a tree. Some days I am the leaves, gently blowing in the wind, enjoying the breeze. Other days I am a hard trunk, unwilling and stubborn. I have also noticed that I am slowly getting cut down. The man with the axe is the one I let pick my apples, and use my shade. He enjoyed picnics under my branches and watched in awe as my leaves blew in the wind. The longer he did this, the more he began to try to cut me down, he tells me it's because he loves me and I should be happy to do it. I no longer let him cut me down, or pick my fruit. Instead I found another. Because I love him, I let him use my shade, and eat my apples. During the fall time he rakes up my leaves, and takes care of me. I am now rooted in his love. Because I am a tree. Because I love you.
