Trees

When I sat on the bench next to a tree,

I was sweaty and wanted a cool breeze.

Upon sitting in the afternoon,

the tree next to me gave a wonderful breeze.

I marveled out loud,

for the creations of God,

and it was as if it heard me!

Noticing that it was only I enjoying,

I understood why the poets of nature,

are often found dazed in the shade of the trees.
