As Trees

We can let the wind and dust run over us, seep into the openings of our surfaces, as we give credence to the way nature made us -- standstill all our lives, subject to the trembles of fate and all the world beyond us, yet un-stumped growth -- as we transform our thin branches into thick trunks, give homes to others inside us, and feel the rings form within, our leaves point to the sun.
