A tree's life

I start off as a seed tiny as can be Then my someone comes and plants me They cover me with earth Water me everyday awaiting to see my birth I sprout out of the ground into the warmth of the sun The clear air and blue skies are just the beginning, my life has just begun My someone comes and sees And fills with glee Talks to me everyday I grow and grow in a beautiful way Soon I'm huge, I'm tall Branches, leaves and all Springtime comes, my beautiful, pink blossoms thrive Summer, holding juicy red apples and an active beehive Fall, my leaves gently float to the ground After turning red, yellow, and brown Winter, I'm covered in a blanket of white As I fall asleep like a child at night Springtime comes once again My green leaves are back and I have awakened Seasons go by I start to wilt, I start to die I'm covered with moss and my green leaves are gone forever My someone comes back, I thought they'd never But, by the tear they're eye I suddenly know why My someone has come to visit me For in their hand they hold and axe and in the other, a seed tiny as can be
