Trial by Fire

The sparks started flying from the day I was born, a sign that I've come to know all to well it meant  my trial was soon to begin a trial by flame, and brimstone fire and I would pass with flying colors, but it left it's mark on me, branded me with its flames, licked hungrily at my legs, charring, burning them filling the room with the sickly sweet smell of burning flesh, but I survived and I thrived in this new thing a challenge that I've come to love, to embrace the challenge that life throws at me, trying its best to kill me but, nomatter the severity of the situation I run in head first because I welcome the danger, the feeling it gives me is thrilling, filling me with adrenaline, I feel alive when I dance the fatal waltz of fate with death and that’s where I thrive, when death is whispering in my ear is where I feel at home, its been apart of me since the day I was born, trying to take me away, sentence me to an eternity of sobriety from my thrilling mortality but I wont let that happen, but I don’t have time to tell you why because the next trial coming up and my numbers being called and it’s a good one, betrayal, backstabbing double crossing is a common thing in my life perfect example is back when I was just a little boy who still had faith in humanity, a trust put in people nearly cost my life, but I was to stubborn to die even as the knife tore through my back over and over again I denied death its assumed victory, to stubborn to die I ignored the pain feeding on that sweet adrenaline train, was all I needed to survive but it still left its mark, in the form of scars all over my back a congregation of slashes and x shaped wounds, just a flesh wound but the real pain came from who did it the only one I could call my friend back then and the last one because trust is not something that I believe in no more, but I wish not to be reminded of that detrimental blow to my conscious fortitude, a crack in the walls that still has not been healed, a wound that can not be healed a scar to deep to fix but I ignore it and push foward on to my next trial,... by fire and prepare for the scars it will bring upon me. But I follow the thrill that it brings, the pain of the flames, is the only thing I enjoy it fills me with so much gitty joy, to participate in a  trial by sadistic fire.
