tribute to eminem

Tribute to Eminem

By: Kinnie Cross

     I tried to eliminate,

I discriminate,

Not disintegrate,

The air ventilates,

And time sits and waits,

 And let's ones desperate,

I never had a problem with lifting weights,

It makes you strong,

 But a decision made,

 Could deteriorate,

When you thought a friend was loyal,

They make you feel like you're alone,

When you told them your secrets and regret it

 Then you realize those wrongs

And you were right about them from the beginning,

When you were really wrong all along

Some people are mentally unstable,

 Or emotionally uncontainable,

 Appositional defiant,

 Or verbally unfaithful,

Physically disabled,

Angry enough to flip a table,

Or sad enough to commit suicide,

Because you feel you're always held accountable

For all those guys who told you that you were ugly,

And will never be loved in elementary school,

To all those girls to told your secrets,

When they promised they'd be another page in your diary,

Regardless of the fact that the teacher at school doesn't want to help you succeed,

Because she says it dumb kid can't be taught,

No matter how many girl shut you down every year,

 For prom and homecoming,

And just because you never made the basketball team,

And you have to hold the bench in football,

And you only get play time when there's no way,

 The other team to win,

Coach ran you so hard that I practice,

And he yells at you for getting 3rd place,

He forced you to run 100 suicides

At practice night before,

And sincerely tells you he expects way more

,

You listen to Eminem song till I collapse,

 It gets your adrenaline running,

 And your heart pumping,

Waiting for someone to bully you again,

But this time it won't be funny,

 Cause you're ready to fight,

But he runs up and snatches your earphones out,

 And laugh,

Spits in your face and he and leaves with clique,

You can feel your heart bleed,

You just listen to the rest of Eminem's rhymes,

Getting mad fun of isn’t fun and it sure as heck isn’t right,

You tell yourself this will not happen next time,

 Next time you'll fight,

You say your words will shoot like guns,

And those words will break like bones,

Directed towards all of those selfish ones,

Who made you scared and intimidated you,

 It was unfair,

 This time,

Next time he's going to catch one,

 In his face,

Check one,

 Check done,

Back he puts back in his headphones,

And starts to listen to Eminem's hit song

 Called, “Rabbit Run”
