Tribute to My Beloved
A few nights ago, during a weary sleep.
I found myself in a no man's dream.
The light on my room were on during the wake
and the the door at full sway.
The books scatter in the work-space
while the remote on the floor slumbers on.
Above all that, spread through out the the celeste walls
is a yellow neon sign that directs me to ''Remember His Decline''
The living room contains an excel sheet
whose remainder leaves a petrified body and look.
Outside in the porch, dirt stacks and is brought on
by boots with dashes and smudges.
This time the green sign encourages out loud
'' Surpass Your Dearest folks''
Outside in the drive way an infiniti is parked
whose shadow displays a frail woman bearing the cost.
Getting off the car is a young man with a fresh cut,
tattoos in every lot, attire straight from the rack,
and smelling like newly cut grass.
The purple sign urges ''Don't leech of parental love''.
After departing from an alternative truth
I and everyone else continues on the pilgrimage of life.
Learning about this and that, her and him, I and you
while accumulating wrongs and rights and don'ts and wont's.
The only real tutor on life I've had is not one, but everyone.
