The Trickster gets Tricked
Here is the back story of Puss n Boots, the cat with luck and some tricks
Given to the youngest son with some boots that just fit
She got her master in a castle
A princess without a hassle
A meal out of an ogre how did she do it legit?
It all started in an island called Cat-TA-Lax
Where cats ran the land and Puss was an aristocrat
She grew up with all the lavish in her life
Always fed with an abundance of mice and delicious milk before night
The other cats envied Ms. Puss but what could they do?
She lived on top of the hill surrounded by Tigers bigger than me and bigger than you
How would they get Ms. Puss to come down from the castle she stayed?
Where the sun never settled and Cat Elvis records were played
Alas!, one of the cats yelled I have an idea we should do!
Let us present gifts to Ms. Puss once a week maybe two
Once we give her enough
We surely will gain her trust
Then we will make the move that has been long over due
What is the move? A young kitten questioned with uncertainty
It is to trick her into taking sea and have her leave, you see...
Ms. Puss has an ego that is high as the sky
Let's give her a challenge that will end in her demise
There is a tale of a place far in the west
Where Giants run free and cats are their pets.
Let's us tell Ms. Puss there is a new island to conquer
Where the brave all have tried yet are with us no longer
She surely we stand tall and show off her might
Pack up her bags and head off tonight
Ms. Puss was on top of the world from all the gifts she received
That when she heard of the island she was destined to leave.
Ms. Puss packet up her bags and was off in a jiff
The poor cats' plan had work, Ms. Puss had been tricked
The moment she landed she was snatched from her sail
And here now begins the Puss n Boots Tale.....
