trickster of the night


sneaky like foxes,

were they.

 

trickster of the night,

what brings you

to my door?

 

i hold no shelter

for the likes of you

as you feed on the

hopes and dreams

of the crushed

 

i have only

a pot for you

to slip into

and take your final

breath.
