Trigger

He said

It wouldn't hurt

To pull the trigger

And I swear that I believed him.

But the shot

Was loud

The picture

Brutal

And it scared me.

So when I lifted the revolver from the ground

And put my finger on the

Trigger

I could not stop shaking-

And I swear I

Meant to die that day

But I was

Too afraid.
