Trip to Boston

Picking out warm clothes

Watching the final door close

It’s a lot to take it

But it was finally happening

Hearing the last ding

My ears never stopped popping

It was my first ride on a plane

And it was sure a pain

Once we landed I was ecstatic

I tried not to panic

It was so late

I just wanted to find the gate

Had to be up early the next morning

I knew there would be a lot of groaning

Days went by like seconds

We had a lot of check in’s

I took a lot pictures on my phone

I even kept this pinecone

At the end of the trip I had a lot of memories

I listened to my melodies

I surely missed my home

I wasn’t looking forward to saying shalom

Even though I’m not even Jewish

I felt a sense of blueish
