Tripwire

Strand unseen, stretches across the path hidden in the dust and debris of years set to a hair trigger Potential, ready to become kinetic. Set it and forget it. My shuffling, opaque, gait bumbles through the day and without warning I am blown sideways by memories of improbable events. Mystic, holy, profane My ears ring, but they always ring. I search for the one that will release me. Finally, she is there.
