Triumph
She looks around the world,
Hoping for a better day.
Battered, beaten, and long forgotten.
Intelligent beyond measures, destined for greatness.
Knowledge is the thing with power.
She's more powerful than most.
Exuding a subtle beauty, it flows out of her bones.
Battle scars, decorate both her face, and soul,
encouraging her to, "GO ON!" and teliing her she's the chosen.
She feels the white coat decorate her skin,
sees it in all her dreams.
With new found fuel, she continues, chasing down her destiny.
Years later, she looks back, laughing.
All those hard times,
people telling her she'd amount to nothing.
She saves lives everyday, while all they do is talk.
She smiles, because she made it.
All those people telling her she'd never make it?
They forgot one important thing.
Knowledge is the thing with power,
and she's more powerful than most.
