Triumph of the Malevolent

Snow White sits alone

Awaiting her savior

Wishing upon her Fairy Godmother

Hoping for a happily ever after

Prince Charming watches from the topiary

Trapped within an ethereal sphere

Screaming for his one true love

Pounding upon the transparent globe

She sobs into her quivering hands

Kneeling beside the glass coffin full of broken dreams

The future that could have been would never actually be

For her prince’s chest laid motionless

His sharp blue eyes glued forever shut

Hidden from the world

With his head against the orb he stared

Lightly pounding his fist against the unmoving barrier

He whimpered “Kiss her, hold her, rescue her”

She gazes inattentively at his restful figure

Never knowing he watches from his prison above

“Good always wins” they thought

But darkness always finds a way

Trapped

A fate worse than death

Him, forever watching

Her, eternally alone

The Evil Queen’s happily ever after
