Triumph over Fear

I was full of fear..

Fear of all the what ifs,

Fear of what the doctors said,

Fear of what's to come.

Fear of change,

Fear I will never be as good as I was before.

Before surgery,

Before I knew what it was,

Before I tore my ACL.

But with healing comes pain,

And with pain comes persistence,

And with persistence comes triumph.

Triumph over my injury

Triumph over my fears.
