Triumphant

And after the storm

We will rest in long moments suspended.

We will walk with grounded steps

On familiar land,

And trust our feet to lead us home.

We will dress ourselves

In the colors of freedom,

No, not necessary.

It shall be known to all

In the two crevices of our collarbones,

That we have seen what remains

And emerged from the fires,

Triumphant.
