Trope

I'm stuck somewhere between
homocidal and suicidal
Lost in a world obscene
Just fighting for survival.

Hardly holding onto my sanity,
yet the Baby Boomers seem
to think we can endure this calamity,
the aftermath of their regime.

And I'm not saying we can't,
but it sure is criminal
that in this world we were spawn't,
the resolution is subliminal.

And what can one do but hope
that their life won't be just another trope.
