"Trouble don’t Last Always"
Times were hard for me and my mother
She was found raising me by herself for a few years
I love her to death no one will ever replace her
Eviction notices in your mailbox
Repossession people at the driveway 12:00 am taking away your cars
Struggling, living pay check to pay check
But mom never lost her faith she always believed in God
She would always tell me trouble won’t last always
I never imagined going to private school
At least when I was young
But God had a plan for me and my mother
He brought to me my step dad
We still struggled
But it was better than having to eat oodles and noodles every night for a month
Playing basketball helped me be able to afford Calvert hall
I remembered the words of my mom
“Trouble don’t last always”
We are not the richest people in the world now
But we are not as bad as we use to be
I know God has a plan
For me and my family
Trouble don’t last always
