The Trouble With Feelings

The trouble with feelings is,

Feeling like you have to hide.

Like everyone will hate,

What you feel inside.

So I passed you by,

With nothing but silence.

Your smile ignited a war,

My mind and heart up in violence.

My mind says "no",

My heart says "go",

Well I went the wrong way.

You didn't know what I felt,

Until it was too late.

The trouble with feelings is,

That they often go astray.
