Trucker

Where my road leads, shall be my end
As days, turn to night, nights turn into years
Dust to dust, winding dirt roads bend.
Passing dead spirits, along this highway of tears.
Driving forever, watching decades pass by.
Hundreds of fatalities witnessed through my eyes
Where my road leads, shall be my end
Coast to coast, it's been my only friend.
Young and full of youth, I made this road my home.
Now filled with wisdom and truth, still here I roam.
Awaiting my last sunrise, my last full moon to see.
Driving, daydreaming my whole life, a passing memory.
