True To Be Flawless

To dissipate from incoherent lies

Draw your attention to my eyes

Brown as chocolate, soft as tears

More precious than adolescent years

Look to the lips that speak

Words I cannot keep

To myself, they all flow free

Displaying themselves for all to see

I touch my face, acknowledge my hands

They are rough and firm as mountain lands

Crafting and creating a daily Garden of Eden

Tireless from morning, dawn to evening

At last my skin rich with gold

Glowing bright so all can behold

The birthmark, of who I am, painted

So strong, thy Native lands will not be tainted

To acquire a list of flaws would take too long

From head to toe, each part was built strong

My gleaming eyes are how much I’ve achieved

From lips to hands, equate to love, I’ve given and received

My  skin is so bold, dark yet bright

As clear and flawless as a starless night

When I get up, shake and free my hair

And see someone with a momentary stare

In their eyes I see a unique essence of flare

Then I know I’m not the only flawless person out there
