True Beauty

People go to extraordinary lengths,
just to be Beautiful.
The more Glamorous you are,
the more people view you as Wonderful.

But what about the girls less glamorous?
The girls without style or grace?
What about the girls with their hair in a mess,
without a trace of make-up upon their face?

Society may tell them, "You're not pretty."
or just pass by without saying a word.
Or they'll turn and laugh, or say under their breath,
"She's pathetic." or, "Oh..what a nerd."

But here's the thing society doesn't see,
a heart that is beautiful and true.
A girl who is compassionate and caring inside.
A girl, who wouldn't judge you.

These girls without make-up aren't ugly,
They are the ones that will go far.
Even without the glitz and glamor,
because they aren't afraid to show who they are.

Society needs to change for the better,
something that's long overdue.
But if it doesn't, then don't worry.
Just be confident in Beautiful You.
