TRUE BEST FRIEND

When I look at you I see my dreams

My reality that is happening right in front of me

Everything that I want to be

I see in you

When I see your smile

It warms my heart

It shines and lights up my soul

The darkness of what used to be disappears

When I look into your eyes

My soul sings an amazing song

Your being and your love

Helps me to discover the real me

When you speak

My heart skips a beat

So sweet gentle and kind

your voice whispers to the depths of my heart

How do you do it?

How do you make me feel like a kid at Christmas?

How do you make me forget reality and just drift

Into another realm where only we know

Happy is an understatement when I think about you

I feel the joy that I thought I had lost

My purpose becomes apparent

Having you in my life is nothing short of amazing

Never change your perfection

Everything I see in you I see in me

We are one in the same

Two imperfectly perfect people with a bond that can never be broken

Small town girl from Leighton Alabama. I have been writing poetry since I was 12 years old. I feel that words alone are very powerful and can move mountains with the right mouthpiece. My favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe. 35661
