True Emotions

It was an ordinary day,

When poetry was put in front of me.

My thoughts became aroused,

When I learned this form of escape.

An escape so completely real,

That it helps me finally feel.

No matter the emotion,

A poem can put it in a full thrust motion.

To this day,

Poetry will continually express the real me.
