True Friend

what is a true friend? Is there an exact definition?

Probably not. But I know what a true friend would do verses what a friend would do.

A true Friend will keep you from falling, A friend will catch you when you fall.

A true friend will buy you a get well card, A friend will sign your cast.

A true friend will say it does bother me that you're dating my ex but I will deal with it because you're happy, A friend will say it's fine.

A true friend will call/text/email you after your surgery, A friend will wait till they see you at school.

A true friend will give you an honest opinion and the best advice they can, A friend will say you look great or everything will be fine.

A true friend won't let you do something that will get you in trouble, A friend will be by your side while you both get in trouble.

A true friend won't spill your secrets even if you are no longer friends, A friend will spill everything because they are so mad that you aren't friends.

A true friend will fill you in on an amazing opportunity, A friend will keep it to them-self.

I'm a true friend and a friend,

But I have always been a true friend to you.

When will you start being one to me?
