A True Friend

You were always there for me.  Together, we were like side by side.

We were like a team.  Helping each other when we fell or cried.

Wish I could press replay.  Doing the things we could’ve done in those days.

I miss you saying hey.  Please don’t say good bye.

Don’t pretend that this is an end. Look deep into my eyes.

Because being a true friend means a lot to me.

And finding a new one will be hard indeed.

You kept your promises.  No matter what the circumstances.

We were always from a distance, but our friendship didn’t make a difference.

Through the bad and good; we had that moment from the start.

As we will someday depart; you will always be in heart.
