True Friend
You often find your mind fading from the world.
It's like wandering alone in the dark.
No matter which way you run, you can't escape.
A never ending nightmare you're not able to defeat.
You scream, but your mouth is closed and your voice detached.
All that is left to do is stare,
Stare into the endless night alone and afraid.
You pray for a hand in the distance reaching for your heart.
Grasping and holding you through the night,
The hand pulls your through all the troubles.
Protecting you,
It wipes away all the tears along with all fears.
You open your eyes to find the one true friend,
A friend that will be there 'til the end.
