True Friendship
True friendship is like a river.
It changes and adapts
To life's many twists and turns
Gathering strength all the way.
Like a river, it never stops.
When it reaches a dam,
It just flows right on through.
When it reaches something in its path
And it must divide for a while,
It always rejoins together
Like it was never apart.
To all my true friends,
You know who you are,
I'll always keep you close to my heart.
