The True King
Lightening strikes. Sparks escape to spread.
Fire expands engulfing, smoldering the dead.
Flames consume the Earth, rupturing light.
Life is darkened, enveloped by night.
Grasses embody heat, singed in time.
Flames dance through land, sparks climb.
Beauty in death, rain strikes the ground.
Crackling, sizzling, every sound,
Escapes the Earth, the word to hear,
Instills regrowth, all without fear.
Rain smolders the death, to heal the burn.
Charring land, the live return,
And in the death, from lightning hit,
Arrives the healed, refuse to quit.
In the petrified, blacked Earth,
Green reveals, life’s healed, rebirth.
