True Life

Location

Every day, I see filters -

Filters on photos

Filters on speech

Filters, filters everywhere.

But I refuse to have a filter.

Without a filter, I am me.

Without a filter, my scars and imperfections are shown.

Without a filter, I say the blatantly honest words on my mind.

Without a filter, I am me.

Without a filter, I may not be the prettiest crayon in the box.

But that's fine by me.

I'm comfortable being just me - not a fake crayon looking for attention.

Without a filter, I am completely and utterly honest - I don't care how it makes you feel, I'll tell you the truth because the ugly truth is always better than the pretty lie.

But that's fine by me.

I'm comfortable being just me - not a pretty little lie.

Everyday I see filters -

Filters on photos

Filter on speech

Filters, filters everywhere.

Everywhere but me.
