True Love

True Love doesn't begin with me Though I often wish it did But no, it doesn't begin with me at all. True Love begins with you, not with me I don't mean to say you must love yourself In fact that's not what you need at all True Love begins with you It begins when you love someone else first Of course, it doesn't have to be someone True Love can start with your dog Or it could begin with our favorite song For as long as you love something first True Love will surely come around It doesn't wait for you to love yourself It doesn't wait for you to find the one True Love can be as pure as your mother making you pancakes in the morning True Love can be you telling your friend to get home safe True Love can be a passionate romance between you and your favorite book True Love doesn't start with me but it does start with you.
