True Love

For thirteen years we've seen it all.

Together we'd rise,

Together we'd fall.

I can see it in your eyes.

Togehter we'd cry,

Maybe, someday, together we'd die.

Your smile makes me laugh.

My laughter makes you smile.

You saw me first,

Said, "Come, talk for a while."

I could only nod and feign a grin,

"Sure," I said and let you in.

You were my first,

I was yours.

So much has happened,

Many years have passed,

Yet still we remain

As close as song birds in rain.

Through thick and thin,

You're still my best friend.
