True Love Is Colorless

we ask for nothing but to be respected

yet you treat us like an abomination

i am just like you, yet you say different

so what if i have a boy friend and i'm a boy?

so what if i have a girlfriend and i'm a girl?

does that make me any less human than the person standing next to you?

does that make the sky bleed ashes?

i'm on top of the world yet you curse me down.

i raise my hands high and you cut me down.

i kiss my man or my girl in public and you heckle us for it

true love is colorless as the law should be

i love you more than anyone

i can be anyone's best friend

i can build trucks and redecorate rooms if i'm a guy sharing my heart with another man

and i can do the same sharing my heart with a girl if i'm a girl

there's nothing wrong with being gay

love is endless, it stays the same for all

however,

we ask for nothing but to be respected

yet you treat us like an abomination

i am just like you, yet you say different

so what if im a boy with a boyfriend?

so what if i'm a girl with a girlfriend?

does that make me any less human than the person standing next to you?

there's nothing wrong with being gay

love is endless, it stays the same for all
