True Love Myth
Most people think true love exist,
In my experience it's just a myth.
I gave my all to you, someone extraordinary,
And in my heart I believed you to be the man I would marry.
Then one day things started to change.
Now when I think of you all I feel is pain.
We used to love.
We used to care.
In each others eyes we used to stare.
Whenever we were together is was a high,
Our love was true, or was it a lie?
Because of your fear you set me aside,
Because of the love I have for you I must say goodbye.
If I don't leave this love right away,
My love for you will grow every day.
Since you don't want my love anymore,
I guess I'll take it to the ocean shore.
Here I will through it in the water,
And let it be washed away by my sweet Heavenly Father.
If you ever want my love again,
all you can do is pray.
Right now to me true love is a myth,
And in some hearts it never did exist.
