True or False

How do we know
When a shepherd is a fake?
That discernment is essential
for goodness sake

The marauder climbs over the fence
Trying to breech the sheep’s defense
Their tools are deception
Looking for a reception
Of ignorance

But our shepherd comes in through the gate
He always comes
If we are willing to wait

The fake shepherds try to deceive us
But Jesus will never leave us.
He keeps us safe
He keeps us secure
He is the cure
From what would attack us.

The good shepherd will  keep
Each of his sheep
Safe

The shepherd leads us
And always feeds us
What will help us to grow in Him.

To the false shepherd
We all look the same
But our true shepherd knows us
And grows us
And calls us by name.

The false shepherd is just Satan’s tool
His aim is the sheep to fool

I love my shepherd
I know His voice
Listening to Him
Helps me make the right choice

How do we know
When someone is a fake?
God gives us that discernment

For our own sake.
